Romans 1:1

Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God— (Romans 1:1)

The breakdown:

  1. “a servant of Christ Jesus”=his total & honorable devotion as a slave to His master (Who’s your daddy?)
  2. “called to be an apostle”=his clear calling to be God’s messenger (Who are you?)
  3. “set apart for the gospel of God”=his purpose being The Gospel (Where are you going?)

Whether we verbally state a greeting or not, we all give one. What’s your pick-up line?
