Thematic Environments Speak To Us

A key for today’s effective communication within the church gathering is to realize that it doesn’t come down to just the voice of the preacher.  Today’s communication must be holistically viewed, with various mediums drawing towards a centralized message.  It comes down to the entire environment “saying” and reinforcing your theme of the day, utilizing the added power of image and metaphor, woven with sound and words.

A strategic partner of North Point Community Church, Access Church follows suite with its “methodological elder” in providing a thematic culture with each sermon series they conduct.  Access Church’s lead pastor, Rich Barrett (and team), created various visual messages with their latest sermon series titled, “Destinations” as seen here:

  1. Thanks for the hat tip, Dave! We had a lot of fun with that. The band opened the service with “Route 66” which is always a good time, as well.

  2. I am glad you didn’t choose “Highway to Hell.”
