Recently I was asked to teach on one of the seven churches from the book of Revelation.  Essentially, the central theme I wanted to communicate from this passage was of an all-powerful God who will rescue, restore, and reward the faithful…so endure (no, I didn’t use that cheesy alliteration in my sermon, nor in a linear outline).

To help set the tone for this idea of being in crises and needing rescue, I asked one of our worship band, Fir Hill, to cover Muse‘s, “Apocalypse Please” before my teaching.  Though the lead singer had never heard of the song before, he did a pretty amazing job (with the rest of the band) in performing it on short notice.
