A Sugar-Coated Classic

Last night on an ice cream run, my daughter instead asked for a caramel apple, while the rest of us chose milk shakes and floats.

The sad results of her choice follows:

Like so many other unfortunate apples dressed up in this sweet, seductive disguise of goodness, they find themselves receiving only cheap licks, rarely breaking their surface.  With its ripened hopes of one day being fully consumed, many times a caramel apple only serves as a candy dispenser.  A sad destiny for so many of these wholesome eats.

Thankfully, Lucy gets most of her fruit intake through Apple Jacks and Fruit Loops.
